The faculty’s organization is built up of departments, which are coordinated by the Dean’s Office, however they enjoy a quite wide independence in teaching and research.
The head of the department is in charge of the organization of the courses and academic programs in the department.

RESEARCH GROUPS
Beside the departments, research centers and a special college were established so as to enhance the research activity at the faculty. The research centers are independent organizations within the faculty doing through research on one issue.
The Center for Parliamentary Research: The topic elaborated on is the structure and functioning of parliaments and legislation in term of constitutional law, public administrative law and political science.

The Center for Civil Law Researches: The research center works on various fields of civil law and civil procedural law.

The Research Centre for Crimonology and Criminalistics: It was established to coordinate the innovation work of external experts in criminology and the university; map current, under-researched and under-researched segments of criminology and criminology; contribute to the development of the theory and practice of criminology; initiate and conduct innovative research; and provide the institutional backing for faculty research in criminology and criminology.

The Batthyány Lajos College: It is a satellite institute of the faculty. It was founded with the definite purpose of training and mentoring talented law students in order to prepare them for undergraduate lawyers’ competitions and for their prospective PhD. studies as well. Special attention is afforded to their training in theory and legal practice.
